Defenselayers sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Warsaw (hereinafter referred to as “website”).

This website informs the user about Defenselayers Sp. z o.o.’s rules regarding
the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when using the website and about the choices that the user has made in relation to this data.

User data is used to provide and improve the website. By using the website, the user agrees to collect and use the information in accordance with these rules. Unless otherwise specified in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meaning as in the Terms of Use, available at https://www.defenselayers.com.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Defenselayers sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Warsaw (for convenience, hereinafter referred to as: “Defenselayers sp. z o.o.” or “the Company”), which is the operator of website is the controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (for convenience, hereinafter we shall use the abbreviation: “GDPR”) with regard to personal data of users who are natural persons. This means that Defenselayers sp. z o.o. determines the purposes and means of processing users’ personal data independently and on its own responsibility. In the event of any questions or concerns about the protection of your personal data by Defenselayers sp. z o.o., please contact the Company (the e-mail address has been provided in part “Contact” hereof). Personal data mean any information that may identify user, such as name and surname, phone number, e-mail address and your shipping address to deliver items purchased by you on website.

The purpose of this Privacy Protection Policy is to determine the actions taken by Defenselayers sp. z o.o. related to the protection of processed personal data, including the data collected via website. All activities of the Company are subject to the regulations on personal data protection, e.g. the Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018. (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1000). Company’s Privacy Policy is governed by Polish law and complies with GDPR.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis on which Defenselayers Sp. o.o. collects and uses the personal data described in this Privacy Policy depends on the personal data collected by the Company and the specific context in which the Company collects it.

Defenselayers Sp. o.o. may process personal data for this reason:

  • The user gave the Company permission to do so;
  • The processing of data is in the legitimate interest of the Company and does not override the rights of the user;

  • Retention of Data

Defenselayers Sp. o.o. will keep the user’s personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. Defenselayers Sp. z o.o. will store and use user’s personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill its legal obligations (for example, if Defenselayers Sp. z o.o. is obliged to store user’s data in order to comply with applicable laws), settle disputes and enforce our agreements and legal principles.

Defenselayers Sp. o.o. will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of website, or Defenselayers sp. z o.o. is legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.

Defenselayers Sp. z o.o. will take all necessary steps to ensure that user data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and there will be no transfer of user’s personal data to an organization or country unless there are adequate controls, including data security and other personal data of user.

Disclosure of Data

In certain circumstances Defenselayers sp. o.o. may be obliged to disclose the user’s personal data if required by law or in response to important requests from public authorities (e.g. court or government agency).

Defenselayers sp. o.o. may disclose user’s Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • To comply with a legal obligation;
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of Defenselayers sp. o.o.;

If the user wants to be informed about what personal data the Company has about him and if he wants it to be deleted from systems owned by Defenselayers sp. z o.o., the user must contact the Company.

In certain circumstances the user has the following rights to the protection of personal data:

Whenever possible, the user may access, update or request the deletion of his Personal Data directly in the account settings section. If the user is unable to do so on his or her own, the user must contact the Company for assistance.

– The right to correct the Data. The User has the right to correct his or her Personal Data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

– Right to object. The user has the right to object to the processing of his/her personal data by the Company.

– The right to limit. The user has the right to demand that the Company limits the processing of his/her personal data.

– Right to data transfer. The user has the right to receive a copy of the information that the Company has about him/her in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format.

– The right to withdraw consent. The user also has the right to withdraw his consent at any time when Defenselayers Sp. o.o. relied on his consent to process his personal data.

Defenselayers sp. z o.o. may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the website (hereinafter referred to as: “Service Providers”), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analysing how the website is used.

These third parties have access to user’s Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Analytics

The Company may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of the website.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of the website. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.

The user can opt-out of having made his activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Defenselayers sp. z o.o. understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. In particular, our sites are not intentionally designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. Defenselayers sp. z o.o. may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. It will inform its users about any changes by publishing a new Privacy Policy on this website.
